Bicycle competitions refer to various competitions that use bicycles as competition equipment. According to the different types of vehicles used, they can be roughly divided into road races, indoor field races, cross-country races and fancy performances. Below are the specific categories for you.
1. Cross Country
One of the cycling events. A type of mountain bike racing. It is divided into four types: circle, super long, short course and endurance. The course of the lap race is at least 1 lap of 6 kilometers, and the duration varies with the classification. The course of the ultra-long race is at least 30 kilometers, there are obvious changes in altitude, and the group or individual starts. Usually, the start and end points of the race are not the same place, but the ring road of the big circle can be the same. A maximum of 6 kilometers per week is allowed for the short-course race route. The starting and ending points are set in the same place. On the premise of ensuring safety, natural or artificial obstacles can be set up. A maximum of 80 athletes can ride on the race route at the same time. Endurance race is a long-distance comprehensive event that tests athletes' driving skills, handling of mechanical failures, riding according to pictures and speed endurance ability. It can last for 2 days or more, with multiple checkpoints and different routes.
2. Downhill race
Referred to as "DH". One of the cycling events. A type of mountain bike racing. Combining fast and slow techniques, the game is based on skills. The competition is a test of the players' courage and ability to control people and cars. The car is first transported to the top of the mountain, and then the runners speed down the mountain at an average speed of about 30KM/H~80KM/H. The race routes are all downhill riding sections consisting of a mix of singles, jumps, slow sections, fields, forest trails and gravel trails. The individual time trials are used to arrange the rankings according to their performance.
3. Staged competition
One of the cycling events. A type of mountain bike racing. A game in which a series of events is played for 2 days or more, and the ranking is judged by total time or total points. Top competitions are held for a minimum of 5 days and a maximum of 8 days. Secondary competitions are held for a minimum of 2 days and a maximum of 4 days.
4. Hill Climb
One of the cycling events. A type of mountain bike racing. The race is usually around 30 minutes, depending on the uphill terrain. The race route should include at least 80% of the uphill riding section. Group or individual departure. The starting point is set at a specified location and the ending point is set at another higher altitude.
5. Double stroke
One of the cycling events. Two athletes descend side by side on a track with fixed, flexible poles. The first to pass the finish line is the winner. The overall winner will be determined by knockout.
