One of the must-visit attractions is the Vernazza Harbor, where we spent many hours soaking in the sun and watching fishing boats come and go. Another highlight of our trip was hiking the Sentiero Azzurro, the famous Blue Trail that connects the five villages of Cinque Terre. The trail is typically open year-round, though it’s wise to check for any seasonal closures or conditions. There’s a small fee of €7 for access to the trails, which goes toward maintenance.

We also enjoyed visiting the Castello Doria, a historic castle perched high above the village. The castle is open to the public and has a modest entrance fee of €1. From its ancient walls, we were treated to panoramic views of Vernazza and the surrounding coastline—an experience we will never forget!
