The Jade Lake, also known as the Water Cui Lake. It was once part of the Qinghai-Tibetan plateau, but after long periods of crustal movement, the ground was lifted up to become the largest plateau in the world.

As a result, the sea water remained in some low-lying areas, forming many salt lakes and ponds, and the Jade Lake is one of them.

The lake is not a single colour - emerald green, mint blue, amber yellow, milk white - and the edges of the lake are lined with creamy white walls of rock that.

When viewed from God's perspective, are literally set in the earth, emerald, amber and turquoise.

When you stand at the edge of the lake and see the clear mirror image of the lake, many people will think that this is a place called "heaven on earth".

This highland salt lake is set amidst the snow-capped plateau of Dachaidan and is a breath-taking sight.

It is like emerald, like amber, like countless broken emeralds.

It is tranquil and comfortable, empty and deserted, with its own atmosphere when you sit at random.

Due to this special geological structure, this land is rich in salt resources. The "Emerald Lake" is a mining pit formed after years of salt mining.

Depending on the concentration of the minerals contained in the lake, the Emerald Lake can also show a variety of colours.

The colour of the magnesium sulphate brine is pure and transparent, and when the wind is calm, it looks like a mirror scattered in all directions, like the emerald jade set in the Gobi.

The emerald-coloured 'mirror of the sky', like the filtered Uyuni salt marshes of Bolivia, adds a touch of softness to the loneliest, most desolate of cliffs.

In this magical land, there are not only lakes with fantastic colours like a fairyland, but also deserts, hills, Gobi and salt flats.

The magic mirror and fairyland meet here, forming an ink painting of the Silk Road Qinghai Road with the water of the Emerald Lake.

The Emerald Lake is not a complete lake, it is made up of many lakes of varying sizes.

The colour of the emerald lake varies due to various factors such as the minerals contained in the salt ponds, the amount of rainfall and salt at each stage.

As well as differences in weather, temperature, air humidity and the angle of sunlight, or the distance from which one can view it.

If there is a period of high rainfall, then the salt content of the lake will be diluted and the water will be clearer, and the light reflected from the salt crystals will be brighter.

If there is less rainfall and the water is evaporated by the sun, then the proportion of salt and minerals in the water increases and the lake will then be emerald green in colour.
