Travelling to new places are some of the most rewarding experiences that we have.Whether we go alone or with a big group of friends, it creates new ideas and experiences that we could never get at home.

Whilst some people prefer to travel solo, there are many benefits that you can only get when travelling with friends. Here are some benefits of traveling with friends.

1.Experience new things

When travelling by yourself, it can be very easy to find yourself doing very similar things in every place you visit. When travelling with friends though, they will often have their own activities that they want to try that you may not have previously considered.

A local cooking class, a hot air balloon trip or a day of horse riding along a beach could be the best experience about your holiday that you would never have tried if your friend wasn’t there to suggest it.

2.Forge stronger friendships

One of the best parts about travelling with friends is the stronger friendship that develops out of the experience.

You will share incredible and unique moments and learn new things together throughout your travels. You will be able to talk with them about it during the trip and for years to come.

Even when things might go wrong, you will come through it together and be closer because of it. This can form the basis of a lifelong friendship and be the start of many more holidays together in the future.

3.Someone to talk to

Travelling is full of exciting adventures, new experiences and relaxing in paradise. However, it also includes long journeys between destinations, flight delays, broken down transportation and waiting in queues.

Having a friend to talk to can make this time more enjoyable, especially when you can talk about the things you have done and the places you are excited to travel to next.

Whilst you could just read a book, often human company is exactly just what you need to make those boring situations fun.

But there are always pros and cons to one thing, and traveling with best friends can also have some not-so-good parts.

1.No new friends

You might not be as independent as you would be if you didn’t know anyone. Instead of making new friends, you and your friend may end up isolating yourselves from interacting with the local community or the rest of your travel group.

While traveling with a friend doesn’t automatically mean you won’t make new friends, it might impact your willingness to try.

2. Irritating one another

The downside of spending a lot of time with one person -- you might work each other’s last nerve! We all know this could happen when you surround yourself by the same person nonstop!

To have an unforgettable trip with friends and make as many cherished memories as possible, you can try these things.

1.Be open about the fact that you will both need independent time

Spending 24 hours a day with someone (anyone!) isn’t easy. Even the most charming, lovely person can wear on you after three weeks (or three days) and you will probably begin to wear on them.

Make sure that you have a bit of time to yourself every day. Peruse the market, go check your email, read a book in a cafe. Having time alone will keep you sane and make you appreciate your travel buddy all the more.

2.Be super honest from the beginning

Just say it. Just say “What are we going to do when we start to get sick of each other?” Most things are less terrifying once you say them out loud.

You should both acknowledge that getting annoyed with each other is a possibility and that you should both think about how you want to deal with it. Besides, they might have some great ideas that you’ve never thought of!
